I was given this book as a gift. I was impressed. I remember the days of Parker Publications putting out books in a very tight format, on how whatever the author's proprietary system was going to make me wealthy, healthy, and loved, in a week of practice. At least this author understands that it takes more than a week to get LoA working. There is one major item, in this book, and really in most LoA books, and that is the horrible lie that you are somehow separate from what you seek. If you put your attention on wanting, you are putting your attention on being separate. You get what you are in resonance with, not what you want. The Buddha said there is no path to peace; peace is the path. This is a powerful statement. The best discussion of intent, around this, is probably The Neville Reader: A Collection of Spiritual Writings and Thoughts on Your Inner Power to Create an Abundant Life. The term LoA goes back to the beginnings of the 1900's, by way. I have read LoA books from that time, including The Wisdom of Wallace D. Wattles: Including: The Science of Getting Rich, The Science of Being Great & The Science of Being Well, and they just don't speak to me, they were written for a different time. We need to understand LoA as attracting the feelings of already having what we seek- NOT as attracting what we seek. Neville goes over this repeatedly- which I needed, to finally "get it". I am seeing some great books from this publisher; consider The Reality Creation Technique, as an example. It is very important to not separate yourself from what you seek; this is a strong quantum measurement, which gels the separation into your life. That is the only issue I had with this book, which is otherwise very good, and goes well beyond The Secret.Product details
